Season 177-145-10 +162.91 (55%)

Here are todays early plays. . .I might have a few up later!!!

5 Units North Texas +5 -103

North Texas has the better defense (41% shooting allowed) and a superior frontcourt, while South Alabama (8-5 SU at home) has the better guard play. Still, South Alabama allows 46% shooting, and North Texas may be able to score some easy baskets with its strong front line. North Texas (13-13) has lost four of seven, but they've been competitive going 7-1 ATS the last eight games. North Texas has a strong front line anchored by 6’-9”, 250-lb senior Shawnson Johnson (12 ppg, 8 rpg, 60% FGs) and 6’-8” senior Michael DeGrate (9 ppg, 5 rpg), and guard Leonard Hopkins (12 ppg). North Texas is 4-10 SU on the road giving up 79 ppg, athough they are 8-3 ATS on the road and off an 84-81 upset win at New Orleans as a +6 dog. South Alabama is 8-5 SU/3-5 ATS at home and they just ended a 7-game losing streak with consecutive victories, winning 62-46 over a bad Florida International team and 73-54 at home over Denver. South Alabama (11-15 SU, 9-10 ATS) lacks height and allows opponents to shoot 46%. South Alabama is led by 6'-6" senior Malerick Bedden (13 ppg, 5.5 rpg) and 6'-6" Richard Law. On January 31, South Alabama lost 85-77 at North Texas. This is a tough one to call, but N-Texas has the height up front, the better defense and has been very strong ATS on the road.

5 Units San Jose St +2.5 -107

Don't expect to see much this game: These are the worst two teams in the WAC. Tulsa is 3-12 in the conference, while San Jose State is the worst team in the WAC (1-14). Tulsa had to play at Hawaii Friday night (another loss), then fly back to California for this game, so they've traveled a long way the last three days. The problem for Tulsa (7-18 SU, 6-15 ATS) is that they are a guard-oriented team with little height, led by 6’-2” senior Jason Parker (18 ppg) and 6’-6” junior forward Jarius Glenn (12 ppg, 6 rpg). Tulsa is 1-12 SU/3-8 ATS on the road where they give up 76 ppg. San Jose State (6-19) has lost 16 of the last 17 games! The San Jose State Spartans are led by 6-8” senior Eric Walton (11.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg) and 6'-6” senior Brett Lilly (10 ppg), but they are 5-9 SU/6-7 ATS at home. When these teams met on January 29, Tulsa beat San Jose State 86-70 and just covered as a 14-point favorite. Don't look for much defense in a closer game.

7 Units Kentucky -4.5 -108

LSU (17-7 SU, 11-8 ATS) has been a single pony team all season. Unfortunately, that horse has come up lame down the stretch. LSU’s Jaime Lloreda (17 ppg, 12 rpg) is all everything for LSU and only had a gimpy 10 points against Mississippi State. State ripped LSU, 84-58 SU. Things do not improve for LSU as they head Home Kentucky (20-4 SU, 10-11 ATS). Kentucky is coming off a pounding of Tennessee, 90-62 SU. This is a case of two teams heading in different directions. LSU is a much better team at Home (12-2 SU). However, Lloreda’s health is everything in this game. LSU is just 7-6 in the SEC and Kentucky is not afraid to win on the Road (8-2 SU). Look for a very low scoring game, especially if Lloreda is not 100%.

10 Units Pittsburgh -10 -104

Defense will take center court in this Big East battle. Pittsburgh allows 39% shooting and holds teams to 55 ppg at home, while Syracuse allows 40% shooting. But this is a tough spot for Syracuse (18-6), which has been a money-burner all season (7-14 ATS). Syracuse is 5-3 SU/4-4 ATS on the road where the Orange scores and allows 72 ppg. The Pitt Panthers (25-2) like the muscle game with 6'-7" Chevon Troutman, 6'-10" freshman Chris Taft (7.2 rpg) and 6'-10" junior Mark McCarroll up front, while Julius Page (12.7 ppg) and sophomore Carl Krauser (14.6 ppg) handle the offense. Pitt is 18-0 SU/6-4 ATS at home where they rip teams by a 71-55 average. Last month, Pitt won 66-45 at Syracuse!!!

Good Luck Today!!!
